Friday, April 06, 2001 – 12:37 am Hi I had some questions about my parade greatcoat. It’s the newer model pictured on sovietarmy.com. I was wondering if the boards and insignia are correct. The boards are olive green with red stripes and 2 stars(Lt. Col). It has black felt artillery collar tabs with gold borders. From looking at various sites, it seems it should have grey boards(were the gold boards ever used on greatcoats?) with black stripes and no gold borders on the collar tabs. Is it correct, or just thrown together? If it’s wrong, does anyone know a good source for Lt Col. boards and tabs for Motor rifles?(that way I can match it to my summer parade uniform). Thanks in advance
